    • Main idea 1: Today’s people live in an environment where violence and discrimination are the norms
      • Supporting idea: 
        • People are often influenced by their surroundings and the behaviors of those around them. 
        • If violence and discrimination are present in their families, communities, or social circles, individuals might come to see these behaviors as ordinary.
      • Example: Children of sexist parents in rural families in Vietnam, for example, show a worrying tendency of disrespecting women.
    • Main idea 2: It is the lack of parental guidance that is to blame. 
      • Supporting idea: 
        • As modern parents are becoming increasingly busy with their jobs, they may have the proclivity to be indifferent to children’s education. 
        • When there is no one to help young children distinguish between the good and the bad, ill-mannered attitudes may emerge and develop among them without being controlled.
      • Example: While playing in the park with other children, a young child observes one child taking a toy from another, and though he recognizes the action as improper, he grapples with not knowing how to communicate this to the child who took the toy.

      • Supporting idea: 
        • Grandparents often possess a wealth of life experiences and wisdom that they can pass on to younger generations.

      • Example: In Japan, the practice of grandparents living with their grandchildren, referred to as "multigenerational living," is widespread and is regarded as a means to uphold traditional values and educate children about their culture.

    • Main idea 2: Parents should not underestimate the significance of their guidance for children.
      • Supporting idea: 
        • If they notice any signs of an anti-social or insolent manner in children, they must provide them with negative evaluations of these signs. 
        • At the same time, parents could also educate their children about social manners by instilling a pro-social sense in them. 
        • Parents should block some websites from their computers which can corrupt their behaviour.
      • Example: In China, the government blocks access to websites that it deems to be harmful, such as websites that contain pornography, violence, or gambling.
