    • Main idea 2: Moreover, this can also help them to develop decision-making skills and a sense of responsibility for their own choices.
      • Supporting idea: When children have the freedom to choose their activities, they take ownership of their decisions, leading to a heightened sense of responsibility for the outcomes.
      • Example: ​A child who enjoys playing sports may choose to join a sports team. They will be more likely to attend practices and games and to give their best effort if they are the ones who made the decision to join the team. This is because they will feel a sense of responsibility for their decision and they will want to contribute to the team's success.
