It is a widely held belief that children's dietary habits and lifestyles are deviating from those of past generations in many places worldwide. While a certain majority of people argue that this will lead to the downfall of young people in terms of health, I partly disagree with this view.
On the one hand, it is undeniable that some differences between the eating habits and lifestyles of the previous and current generations can negatively affect youngsters' well-being. In fact, the higher consumption of junk food, as well as the lack of exercise in certain countries, could be one of the leading causes of the deterioration in children's health. In contrast, the lifestyle of the younger generation in the past often consisted of a more plant-based diet and practical physical activities, as many worked physical jobs due to poverty. However, I believe that only a portion of children who lack parental care are known to be junk food addicts and sedentary in sports. In fact, most young people, despite having a more secure financial situation compared to the past, still strive for healthy, scientific food intake and balanced living patterns.>> Form đăng kí giải đề thi thật IELTS 4 kĩ năng kèm bài giải bộ đề 100 đề PART 2 IELTS SPEAKING quý đang thi (update hàng tuần) từ IELTS TUTOR
On the other hand, I believe that increasing access to health facilities and the habit of regular medical checkups, especially among today's children, promote healthier lifestyles. Firstly, the most health-beneficial habit would be regular checkups at medical centers. The expansion of health facilities worldwide is growing at an unprecedented rate, which encourages the general public, especially children, to visit doctors more frequently. Secondly, the significant number of visits to medical professionals also provides young people with more advice and knowledge on maintaining a healthy lifestyle, such as following a balanced diet and ensuring appropriate water consumption. For instance, during these checkups, healthcare providers can educate children about the importance of consuming fruits and vegetables, engaging in physical activity, and avoiding excessive sugar intake. This knowledge not only empowers children to make informed decisions regarding their health but also instills habits that can last a lifetime.
