Task 1: The bar chart below shows the passenger kilometres traveled by different means of transport in the UK in 1990 and 2000. Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.

    • Bus and rail travel accounted for the largest distance achieved, at 45 and 40 billion kilometers respectively in 1990.

    • Both experienced a moderate rise to approximately 50 billion kilometers in the next 10 years.

  • Body  2: bicycle  + motorbike  + air  
    • Distance covered by each of the remaining means of transport, namely bicycle, motorbike and air, were comparatively modest with just under 8 billion kilometers in 1990.
