    • Body 1: viết trả lời câu hỏi Why
      • Main idea 1:  the sedentary lifestyle favoured by a large number of children, especially those living in big cities  (IELTS TUTOR gợi ý cách diễn đạt khác: As computerized games growth, children develop their sedentary lifestyle correspondingly) >> IELTS  TUTOR  hướng  dẫn  Từ vựng topic GAME trong IELTS
        • Supporting idea:
          • Compared to sports, computer games are less physically demanding, and therefore draw much more attention from these lazy, inactive children.
          • The fact that children are familiar with long sitting erects a psychological barrier to outdoor physical activities.
        • Example: In HCMC and other metropolitan areas, many children, like Jack and Emily from the Smith family, are embracing sedentary lifestyles due to the widespread influence of computerized games, offering a convenient source of solace and entertainment amid the demands of their parents' busy schedules and academically focused school environments.
      • Main idea 2: parents do not bother about the screen time because they will not be disturbed as long as their children are hooked to the machine.
        • Supporting idea:
          • Young people develop addiction to computers and do not favour playing sports.
          • They feel outdoor activities are tiring and require enormous physical efforts. >> IELTS  TUTOR  hướng  dẫn  Từ Vựng IELTS Topic TECHNOLOGY

        • Prolonged screen exposure will cause vision related issues alongside obesity because it does not involve any body movements.

      • Supporting idea: When children spend long hours on the computer, they become isolated from the society/their peers
      • Example:

In suburban Da Nang, the Johnson family's children, Sarah and James, experiencing a lack of outdoor sports, have inadvertently developed introversion and deficient communication skills, as their predominantly computer-focused activities limit engagement in outdoor sports and social interactions with peers in their quiet neighborhood.

    • Supporting idea: This means excessive exposure to those game plots builds up children’s mental impairment and tendency towards anti-social behaviors, contributing to higher crime rate in the future.

IELTS TUTOR gợi ý bài tham khảo:

Today, a growing number of children devote substantial time to digital entertainment while neglecting physical sports. This trend is mainly driven by lifestyle and parenting patterns in modern society and should be considered a largely negative development.

The primary reason behind this tendency is the sedentary lifestyle (lối sống ít vận động – a lifestyle involving little physical activity) that has become increasingly common, especially in large metropolitan areas. Unlike sports, digital games are less physically demanding and therefore easily attract children who are accustomed to long hours of sitting. Such familiarity with inactivity creates a psychological barrier (rào cản tâm lý – a mental obstacle) that discourages participation in outdoor physical activities. In cities like Ho Chi Minh City, numerous children, such as Jack and Emily from the Smith family, gravitate toward computer games because they offer instant gratification (sự thỏa mãn tức thì – immediate pleasure) amid academically demanding school environments. Another contributing factor is that many parents tolerate excessive screen time simply because it keeps their children quiet and occupied. Over time, this convenience enables a growing screen-time dependency (sự phụ thuộc vào thời gian màn hình – reliance on digital devices) that reduces children’s interest in more physically strenuous sports.>> Form đăng kí giải đề thi thật IELTS 4 kĩ năng kèm bài giải bộ đề 100 đề PART 2 IELTS SPEAKING quý đang thi (update hàng tuần) từ IELTS TUTOR

This development is undoubtedly negative for several reasons. Spending excessive time on screens has detrimental repercussions (hậu quả có hại – harmful effects) on children’s mental and physical well-being. Prolonged exposure increases the risk of vision problems, obesity, and even cardiovascular diseases due to minimal body movement. Furthermore, limited engagement in outdoor sports gradually turns children into socially-withdrawn introverts (người hướng nội rút khỏi xã hội – individuals who avoid social interaction) who lack essential communication skills. In suburban Da Nang, for instance, children like Sarah and James from the Johnson family have become isolated from their peers because computer-based activities dominate their free time.

In conclusion, the preference for computer games over sports is driven by convenience and modern lifestyles, yet it remains a largely negative development due to its adverse health and social impacts.
